Dashboard Widgets
Widgets are tiles on your dashboard grid. Each widget loads independently and shows data from a linked report (or a built-in metric preset that is implemented as a report behind the scenes).
Widget types you may see
| Type | What it shows |
|---|---|
| report_scalar | A single headline number — either from MariaDB synced data (local_mariadb) or a blessed CWFA metric (chreos_cwfa). |
| report_chart | A simple line-style chart from synced data. |
| report_table | Rows and columns from synced data. |
| timeseries_sales | Sales over the selected period with an optional comparison series (CWFA). |
| sales_breakdown | A panel of sales-related totals (CWFA). |
| kpi_strip | Legacy row of KPI cards (CWFA); new defaults prefer several report_scalar widgets instead. |
Empty states
If a widget depends on synced MariaDB data and nothing has been synced for the date range yet, you will see a short empty-state message instead of an error. Use Sync data (and your scheduled sync job) to populate the store.
Customisation
Managers and administrators can use dashboard edit mode to rearrange widgets (where your organisation allows it). Root-managed system layouts may be reset from defaults after upgrades.
